Vintage "A-Z"... and a Pop of Color

So, I was looking through Etsy this Sunday morning...
... searching for some new jewelry.

When I stumbled on THIS awesome shop full of vintage dictionary pages...
... covered in ART!
(The artist is from Oregon.)

Imagine how COOL these prints could look FRAMED... and hung in a group,
on a bedroom or livingroom wall?!

To take it one step further, she offers these great "wedding gift" ideas.
Something I've been on the hunt for...
since my cousin (Holly) is getting married this April.

These prints could also make great birthday presents.
I know I WOULD LOVE to get one.
They only cost $10 a piece...
... and if you buy 2, you get one free!

Some of these prints were also featured on Apartment Therapy a few months ago.
One of my FAVORITE decorating sites.

They are so original - and (for sure) a conversation starter!

Cheesy Chicken Dip... and a Packers Win!

This post is SOOO overdue... and should have been done two weeks ago!
But, hopefully some of you still have a "Super Bowl Frenzy" going on.

Since I now live in Green Bay, a bunch of us watched the game together...
... as the Packers went on to win!

We were all supposed to bring 1 dish, so of course, I made my mom's
"Cheesy Chicken Dip" - that has a bit of a kick to it.
It's REALLY addicting.

Ingredients
8 ounces cream cheese (reduced fat)
8 ounces sour cream (reduced fat)
1 small onion, chopped
1 cup Velveeta cheese
4 ounces chopped pepper jack cheese
1 can cream of chicken soup
Small jar of jalepenos (chopped)
2 chicken breasts

* If you are making this for a large group of people, DOUBLE the recipe! *

Season the chicken with salt/pepper and cook on each side for about 6 minutes.

Cut up the chicken (once it's cooked), and add the rest of the ingredients to a crock pot.
Cook on low heat for about 2 hours... then SERVE with tortilla chips!

But, even a few days after the Super Bowl...

as we all bundled up, and went to the "Return to Titletown" celebration...

at Lambeau Field...

that chicken dip made excellent leftovers for about 3 days!

Seriously, if you love cheese, chicken, and a bit of spice...
you will LOVE this dip!!!

Thanks for the great recipe, Mom!

In "love" with "House Tweaking"

I have fallen in LOVE with the blog "House Tweaking" - written by a hardworking mom,
who loves to spend her spare time decorating her home.

It was mainly this woman's BEDROOM that had my jaw dropping.
I love, love, love the gray/yellow color scheme...
... and the HEAD BOARD!!!

To see how she did it, click here.

I mean, the entire thing is just so creative.
And...
Don't forget the YELLOW BARN DOOR!

It closes off the bathroom from the bedroom,
and adds the PERFECT pop of color!

The gray color theme moves through most of the house...

... creating such a peaceful, modern home.

And, she's not afraid to use big, bold pieces on the walls.

Once again, it's pictures like these that make me want my own house.

Where are you SUMMER?

I am dreaming of summer (and FLIP FLOPS!)...
... will it ever come?

According to the world's most famous groundhog, SPRING
is on the way!

And...
As I was browsing through some of my favorite "decorating sites,"
I stumbled across these "cactus-inspired" table decorations
and they only make me want to BE OUTSIDE (enjoying a nice cocktail)
even more!

This table setting is simply adorable.
And... how easy?!

Also makes a cute display for cupcakes.
(That's a clay planter bottom - used to catch water from plants!)

You can buy the glass canisters and candles at "Hobby Lobby."
The cacti at "Home Depot."
And you can get the dried beans (for under the cacti)
and flowers (for around the candles) at the grocery store!

Doesn't this make you want to throw a party?
Ah... summer... hurry up and get here!
