"The Pennington Point"

I stumbled across an ADORABLE design blog called

A super shabby chic home - that gets primped for each season.

I mean - check out this livingroom!
(This is the FALL theme.)

The owner used a stencil to cover the back wall with fun sayings.
(Looks like wall paper... right?)

She also painted the piano a BEAUTIFUL baby blue.

I just love the white couches, white lamps, and the white LOCKERS
to use as storage!

This foot rest is a MILK CRATE that she plopped a pillow on top of.

Now...
SAME ROOM -
Just a different look for SUMMER.

Notice the artwork on the back wall.
Same FRAME... just a different surface.

Same COUCH... just a slipcover.

This is another "sitting area" in the house.
Such a great idea to use a shabby chic frame,
and fill it with old clocks!

Finally...
Check out her deck too!

A Country Wedding

I know I've said this before, but I absolutely LOVE the

(So many creative ideas!)

And...
I also love Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert.

So, I was thrilled when GWS released some photos from
 Blake and Miranda's wedding.

Love, love, love the inside!!!
So romantic.
Lots and lots of candles and twinkling lights.

Check out the funky reception area.

From cutting an old row boat in half for the dessert display...

... to filling Ball jars with fishing gear!
(And, check out the napkin holder.)

Super cute and girly photo shoot.

Miranda's bouquet is awesome.
A wonderful array of broaches and handkerchiefs.

Blake's boutonniere is so creative too!

Some great ideas for a perfect, country wedding.

Caramel Apple Cupcakes

These cupcakes define FALL.
They are super easy to make - and really fun for little kids too!

Start with one box of Spice or Carrot Cake mix.
Follow directions on the back of the box.

Slice and dice three big apples.
(Should equal about 2 cups.)

Add the apples to the cake mixture.

Scoop batter into cupcake molds.

(Place in the oven for whatever temperature/time is on the box.)

While the cupcakes are baking,
unwrap one bag of caramels.
(About 25 of them.)

Add two tablespoons of milk to the caramels,
and place in the microwave for three minutes.

(Make sure you stop and stir at least twice!)

There are so many ways to dress up the cupcakes.
Take your pick!

Option #1 -
Pour the caramel over the top of the cupcakes, and add sliced pecans.

Option #2 -
Put cream cheese frosting on top...

... then drizzle with caramel and pecans.

Option #3 -
Add two tablespoons of caramel to the cream cheese frosting...
MIX - and spoon on top of the cupcakes.

Sprinkle with pecans.

Then - this is the cute part
add POPSICLE sticks to the cupcakes!

Pop them in the fridge.

I think they're served best COLD.

Yummm.

Just like a caramel apple.

Enjoy!
